[ SECTION 01 · PROGRAM ]

SIX TRACKS.
ONE RACING YEAR.

The program is the team. Power, sprint, endurance, recovery, mechanics, strength — every rider moves through the same six tracks, in the same order, every season.

POWER · P-01

THRESHOLD LAB

FTP / 20-min ramp / lactate

Calibrated ergometers, blood lactate draws every eight minutes, and a coach reading your breath rate against the wattage curve. You leave with a number, not a feeling.

MEDIAN FTP
327W
SPEED · P-02

SPRINT WORKSHOP

standing / flying / keirin

Seven-second jumps on fixed gear, filmed top-down and side. Cadence, hip drop, line. Tuesday nights, boards-only. No brakes.

TOP FLYING 200
72.4KPH
ENDURANCE · P-03

LONG BLOCK

Sunday 4hr · zone 2

The unglamorous engine work. Four hours under your threshold, with paced efforts at the back half. Paired rider, shared pulls, no earpieces.

KM / SEASON
14,200
RECOVERY · P-04

REPAIR ROOM

soft tissue / contrast / sleep

Contrast pools, two-chamber pneumatic sleeves, and a physio who rode the Ronde in 2019. Mandatory after every race block.

HRV REBOUND
42MIN
MECHANICS · P-05

THE WORKBENCH

Campagnolo / Shimano / bespoke

Your frame comes in Friday, it rolls out Saturday. Tubulars glued, chains dunked in paraffin, bearings pressed by hand. No guessing.

DRIVETRAIN LOSS
<2.4W
STRENGTH · P-06

OFF-BIKE LIFT

twice-weekly, winter only

Trap bar, split squat, single-leg press. We build December so March hurts less. Loaded with pros from other disciplines.

Gli allenamenti non mentono, ma i gregari sì — un metodo per non crederci.

"A race is a number you have already written, weeks earlier, on a Wednesday evening nobody saw. Velox just makes sure the pen is sharp."

— COACH HEAD / E. KOWALCZYK · UCI CAT-1

The studio opens at five in the morning on race weeks, because the workshop runs before the coffee. By the time the first rider clips in, every frame has been weighed, every chain has been waxed, and the coach has already read last Sunday's file.

Training is not romantic. It is a spreadsheet with legs. And the spreadsheet, if you have been honest with it all winter, will be honest with you all spring.

The roster rotates through the same six programs — threshold, sprint, endurance, recovery, mechanics, strength — because the body is not a novel. It is a machine. It deserves the respect of a machinist.

On Tuesday evenings, from April to June, the boards are open to members only. No cameras. No phones. Just the soft whine of carbon wheels and the sound of the coach calling splits in Italian, as it was in the beginning.

DEBRIEF

Sunday race, broken down.

Files loaded. Every effort over 500W is tagged. The coach walks you through the three moves you got wrong — and the one you nailed.

02
TUE · 18:30
OPENERS

Short, sharp, boards.

45 minutes including four 30-second jumps. Opens the legs without burning the match. Measured, never improvised.

03
WED · 19:00
THRESHOLD

Twenty up, ten down.

The meat of the week. Three sets of twenty minutes at 102% of FTP. This is where fitness is actually built.

04
THU · 07:30
EASY SPIN

Nothing, carefully.

Ninety minutes under zone two. Coffee ride. Read the weather report, talk about your wife, stay off the sprint line.

05
FRI · 17:00
RACE PREP

Kit laid out. Gears checked.

Mechanic signs off the bike. You hand in bottles, pin numbers, do a 20-minute pre-spin. Then go home and eat rice.

SAT · 09:00
RACE DAY

No thinking, only pedals.

The preparation has happened. You show up, warm up on the roller, clip in. The only honest thing left is effort.

SAY AT THE FINISH LINE.

"You cannot fake lap times. The numbers are honest, even when the legs are lying. Velox is the first place that has let me trust both."

[ SECTION 06 · BEFORE YOU CLIP IN ]

QUESTIONS,
ASKED HONESTLY.

We are not for every rider. These are the things people ask before they apply — and the answers we give them.

Not to start. We keep a stable of studio fixed-gear frames in four geometries. Once you earn your boards certification at eight weeks, most riders choose to build their own.

There isn't a watts-per-kilo gate, but the program asks for ten hours a week. If you have never sat on a bike for two hours, start with our six-week on-ramp. Then we'll talk.

Two head coaches, both with UCI category-1 racing backgrounds, and a rotating physiologist from the national federation. Every ride is planned, not improvised.

We register the team with the federation every January. Members get a license transfer and a spot on the calendar. Entry fees for the spring classics are covered.

Negative. This is a studio model. Files are reviewed on the boards, in person. We tried remote for a season in 2021. It did not work.

[ APPLY · ROSTER 2026 ]

PIN YOUR
NUMBER.

The 2026 roster opens for applications on the 1st of May. Ten spots, judged on a 30-minute interview and a threshold test on the boards. Bring your FTP, your calendar and an honest answer to "why".
